Injectable calcium phosphate cement for augmentation around cancellous bone screws. In vivo biomechanical studies.
Sune Larsson,Vincent A. Stadelmann,Jörg Arnoldi,Markus Behrens,Bryan Hess,Philip Procter,Matthew Murphy,Dominique P. Pioletti +7 more
TL;DR: The results of the study demonstrate that the use of an injectable calcium phosphate cement which sets in vivo can significantly improve screw pull out strength at and after implantation for normal and simulated weak bone quality.

External fixation design evolution enhances biomechanical frame performance.
Richard Martin Sellei,Philipp Kobbe,Azad Dadgar,Roman Pfeifer,Markus Behrens,Geert von Oldenburg,Hans-Christoph Pape +6 more
TL;DR: This investigation showed the advancement of Hoffmann design features may be effective in enhancing frame stiffness, and the Hoffmann 3 construct showed the highest stiffness properties under bending and torsion loads.

Biomechanical properties of different external fixator frame configurations
Richard Martin Sellei,Philipp Kobbe,Thomas Dienstknecht,Philipp Lichte,Roman Pfeifer,Markus Behrens,S. Brianza,Hans-Christoph Pape +7 more
TL;DR: The diameter and the amount of used connecting rods as well as the adequate placement of these rods towards the main loading directions determine the construct stiffness.
