Women's Bike Seats: A Pressing Matter for Competitive Female Cyclists
Marsha K. Guess,Sarah N. Partin,Steven M. Schrader,Brian D. Lowe,Julie LaCombe,Susan Reutman,Andrea Wang,Christine A. Toennis,Arnold Melman,Madgy Mikhail,Kathleen A. Connell +10 more
TL;DR: Cut-out and narrower saddles negatively affect saddle pressures in female cyclists, and an inverse correlation was seen between saddle pressures and VTs on bivariate analysis, but these differences were not significant after adjusting for age.

Effects of age, menopause, and comorbidities on neurological function of the female genitalia.
Kathleen Connell,Marsha K. Guess,Clifford B. Bleustein,Kenneth Powers,George Lazarou,Madgy Mikhail,Arnold Melman +6 more
TL;DR: There is a significant increase in vibration thresholds (indicating worsening neurological function) in women as they age and undergo menopause, and Multilinear regression analysis indicated thatMenopause and increasing age negatively affect sensation.

The Bar Sinister: Does Handlebar Level Damage the Pelvic Floor in Female Cyclists?
Sarah N. Partin,Kathleen A. Connell,Steven M. Schrader,Julie LaCombe,Brian D. Lowe,Anne M. Sweeney,Susan Reutman,Andrea Wang,Christine A. Toennis,Arnold Melman,Madgy Mikhail,Marsha K. Guess +11 more
TL;DR: Handlebars positioned lower than the saddle were significantly associated with increased perineum saddle pressures and decreased genital sensation in female cyclists, suggesting that modifying bicycle setup may help alleviate neuropathies in females.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of bicycle setup and cyclists' attributes on GS and saddle pressures among female cyclists were assessed. And they found that low handlebars were associated with increased perineum saddle pressures and decreased anterior vaginal and left labial genital sensation.
