TL;DR: It is confirmed that the in‐hospital mortality of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is high and shows a low long‐term mortality with reasonable quality of life in patients discharged from hospital alive.

TL;DR: A network meta-analysis on the effects of inodilators on survival in adult cardiac surgery patients and to compare and rank drugs that have not been adequately compared in head-to-head trials found levosimendan seems to be the most efficacious inodILator to improve survival in cardiac surgery.

TL;DR: A meta-analysis of randomized studies suggested that the cardioprotective properties of desflurane and sevoflurane could reduce mortality and cardiac morbidity in cardiac surgery but these properties have never been studied in non-cardiac surgery.
