Rodolfo Sacco,Irene Bargellini,Giannelli Gianluigi,M. Bertini,Elena Bozzi,Emanuele Altomare,Valentina Battaglia,Antonio Romano,M. Bertoni,A. Capria,Giampaolo Bresci,Carlo Bartolozzi +11 more
TL;DR: This case represents the first evidence of complete response to sorafenib in an elderly patient with advanced HCV-related HCC, and the patient is in a follow-up program to evaluate the duration of the complete response.
Colonic disease in cirrhotic patients with portal hypertension: an endoscopic and clinical evaluation.
Giampaolo Bresci,L Gambardella,Giuseppe Parisi,Graziana Federici,M. Bertini,Goffredo Rindi,Salvatore Metrangolo,E. Tumino,M. Bertoni,M. Cagno,A. Capria +10 more
TL;DR: Colonic lesions were significantly more frequent in the cirrhotic patients than in the control group; however, such lesions did not seem specific to the disease and were not statistically correlated with the degree of esophageal varices by Child's grading, the etiology of cirrhosis, or the bleeding risk from the lower gastrointestinal tract.

Clinical impact of selective transarterial chemoembolization on hepatocellular carcinoma: A cohort study
Rodolfo Sacco,M. Bertini,Pasquale Petruzzi,M. Bertoni,Irene Bargellini,Giampaolo Bresci,Graziana Federici,L Gambardella,Salvatore Metrangolo,Giuseppe Fabio Parisi,Antonio Romano,Antonio Scaramuzzino,E. Tumino,Alessandro Silvestri,Emanuele Altomare,Claudio Vignali,A. Capria +16 more
TL;DR: Selective TACE may produce significant, but transitory increases in ALT values, with no major impact on liver function and Child-Pugh score, but can remain stable in the long-term, with optimal medium term survival.
