In recent years, Attention is focused on the technique of O2/CO2 combustion with the particular advantages in environment. In this study, the characteristics of MSW with higher moisture、higher ash、lower LHV combustion in the O2/CO2 atmosphere were investigated. By means of numerical simulations (CFD), optimizations for the existing incinerator were carried out for fitting to the MSW combustion in O2/CO2atmosphere. The result showed that when O2 concentration is 28v％ in oxygen enriched MSW combustion, the temperature over the bed top arrived and even exceeded the combustion temperature in air atmosphere. With the same height of furnace and area of grates, the outlet gas temperature changed from 1046K to 1094K by remodeling the furnace to increase cubage; It testified that the amended furnace have more advantages in MSW combustion in O2/CO2 atmosphere.

Study on the Optimization Design of MSW Incinerator Combustion in O2/CO2 Atmosphere

Coal char combustion under the O2/CO2 atmosphere is one of the prospect cleaner coal technologies, its combustion characteristics and dynamics research are the foundations of project application. In this paper, the results of a study on the combustion characteristics of three coal chars ( Liupanshui lignite, Zhungeer bituminous ,Qinhuangdao anthracite) under different oxygen volume content （21%、25%、30%、35%）are presented by TGA, the effect of oxygen volume content to coal-char reaction were analyzed. Simultaneously classical dynamics and time effect fractal dynamics had carried on the analysis separately to the coal char combustion. The results showed that, with higher the oxygen content, the lower the ignition、burnout temperatures are, the char combustion time shorten, activation energy reduces slightly whether use classical dynamics or time effect dynamics analysis, and the activation energy obtained by the former is smaller than the latter.

Experiment Study of Coal Char Combustion Characteristics Under Mixed O2/CO2

Thermogravimetric experiments of Yanzhou bituminous coal-char and Jianyang anthracite-char under O2/CO2 atmosphere and O2/N2 atmosphere are studied. The effect of atmosphere to coal-char reaction on thermal balance was analyzed. A first order reaction kinetic model for coal-char was deduced and it agreed well with experimental data.
