Elevated PLGF contributes to small-cell lung cancer brain metastasis.
Bo Li,Chunyu Wang,Chunyu Wang,Yun Zhang,X Y Zhao,X Y Zhao,Bo Huang,P F Wu,Qiang Li,Hongyu Li,Y S Liu,Liu Cao,W M Dai,Wen-Gang Fang,D S Shang,Liu Cao,Wei-Dong Zhao,Yuguo Chen +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that PLGF derived from SCLC cells triggers vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1-Rho-extracellular regulated protein kinase 1/2 signaling axis activation, results in disassembly of tight junction in brain endothelial cells and promotes SCLCs cell transendothelial migration, and the downregulation of PLGF suppresses SclC cell metastasis to the brain in an experimental BM model.

MDC1 functionally identified as an androgen receptor co-activator participates in suppression of prostate cancer
Chunyu Wang,Hongmiao Sun,Renlong Zou,Tingting Zhou,Shengli Wang,Shiying Sun,Changci Tong,Hao Luo,Yanshu Li,Zhenhua Li,Enhua Wang,Yuhua Chen,Liu Cao,Feng Li,Yue Zhao +14 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that MDC1 facilitates the association between AR and histone acetyltransferase GCN5, thereby increasing histone H3 acetylation level on cis-regulatory elements of AR target genes and providing new insight into co-factor-AR-signaling pathway mechanism and a better understanding of the function of M DC1 on PCa.
By recruiting HDAC1, MORC2 suppresses p21 Waf1/Cip1 in gastric cancer.
TL;DR: It is found that MORC2 down-regulated p21 by recruiting HDAC1 to the p21 promoter, in a p53-independent manner, which promoted cell cycle progression in gastric cancer cells.
miR-135a inhibits tumor metastasis and angiogenesis by targeting FAK pathway.
Zhenguo Cheng,Funan Liu,Hongyan Zhang,Xiaodong Li,Yanshu Li,Jiabin Li,Furong Liu,Yu Cao,Liu Cao,Feng Li +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that miR-135a has a decreased expression in the metastatic cell lines compared with its parental cell lines by analyzing microRNA array, andBioinformatics analysis and molecular experiments prove thatmiR- 135a is a novel downstream gene of tumor suppressor p53.
MDC1 Enhances Estrogen Receptor-mediated Transactivation and Contributes to Breast Cancer Suppression.
Renlong Zou,Xinping Zhong,Chunyu Wang,Hongmiao Sun,Shengli Wang,Lin Lin,Shiying Sun,Changci Tong,Hao Luo,Gao Peng,Yanshu Li,Tingting Zhou,Da Li,Liu Cao,Yue Zhao +14 more
TL;DR: MDC1 was identified as a co-activator of ERα in breast cancer cells and demonstrated that MDC1 associates with ERα, suggesting that positive regulation by M DC1 might contribute to the suppression of breast cancer progression by acting as a barrier of positive to negative ERα function transformation.
