The invention discloses a forklift braking system, which comprises an input module, a braking mechanism and a controller. The input module comprises a pedal brake and a speed sensor, the pedal brake is used for generating the braking output quantity, and the speed sensor detects the speed of a forklift and generates a speed output value. The braking mechanism comprises an electromagnetic brake anda vacuum braking set, the electromagnetic brake is arranged on a front wheel driving shaft, and a brake of the vacuum braking set is arranged on a rear wheel driving shaft. The controller is connected with an accelerator pedal device and a driving motor of the forklift, receives the output quantity and the output value of the input module, and then regulates the output power of the driving motorand controls movement of the braking mechanism. The vacuum braking set and the electromagnetic brake are adopted to be combined, thus it is guaranteed that braking of the forklift is fast and reliable, the safety performance is improved, energy waste is avoided, and the cost is reduced; and under intelligent cooperation of the input module, the controller and the braking mechanism, the forklift braking system is more intelligent, humanized in operation and reliable in braking.
