The invention relates to a recognition device and a method for a paper money number. The device comprises a contact sensor, a white LED (Light-emitting Diode) transmitted light source board, an image acquisition and processing board and two pairs of position sensors, wherein the contact sensor is used for acquiring paper money image data; the white LED transmitted light source board is arranged right ahead the contact sensor and used for providing a transmitted light source for the contact sensor for acquiring the paper money image data; the image acquisition and processing board is connected with the contact sensor by a data line; an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) are integrated on the image acquisition and processing board; the FPGA is used for controlling the on/off of the white LED transmitted light source board and driving a CIS (Corporate Identity System) to acquire the image; the DSP is used for processing and recognizing the paper money image data; the position sensors are arranged on a paper money transfer passage, keep preset distances from the contact sensor, and are used for detecting whether paper money enters the recognition device for the paper money; the white LED transmitted light source board has strong and weak light source modes; and the light source modes alternate to provide the transmitted light source for the contact sensor for acquiring the paper money image data.

The method comprises: calculating parallax of each pair of stereomicroscopic images in a stereomicroscopic calibration image sequence, and then extracting a clear stereomicroscopic image sequence from the stereomicroscopic calibration image sequence, and then finding the minimum parallax and the maximum parallax from the parallaxes of all stereomicroscopic images in the clear stereomicroscopic image sequence, randomly obtaining a pair of stereomicroscopic images under selected multiplying power, and finally according to the parallax of the pair of stereomicroscopic images and the parallax range determined by the minimum parallax and the maximum parallax, realizing automatic focusing of a target object in the pair of stereomicroscopic images. The method is advantaged in that just one-time offline calibration is needed under the same multiplying power, and the parallax range of the clear stereomicroscopic image can be obtained, the method can be used for automatic focusing at any time, and when automatic focusing, the method just needs to perform parallax calculation in few iterations and comparison operation on any photographed stereomicroscopic images, so large amount of focusing time is saved.

Rapid automatic focusing method for stereoscopic microscope

In this paper, an image acquisition and processing system based on contact image sensor (CIS) and DSP is introduced, which captures images of prints from CIS and processes images using DSP. Based on this, the captured image can be sent to PC by network. The hardware design, data transmission and network communication are discussed. Based on polling caching mechanism, high-performance DSP and rich communication interfaces, the system has an advantage of high speed, good robustness and good expansibility.

The apparatus comprises: a contact-type sensor (10) for acquiring paper currency image data; a white-light LED transmission light source board (20); an image acquisition processing board (40) which is integrated with an FPGA and a DSP, the FPGA being used for controlling ON/OFF of the white-light LED transmission light source board (20) and driving the contact-type sensor (10) to acquire an image, and the DSP being used for processing and recognizing the paper currency image data; and two pairs of position sensors (30) for detecting whether there is a paper currency entering the paper currency number recognition apparatus, wherein the white-light LED transmission light source board (20) has two light source modes which are strong and weak, and the two light source modes alternately provide a transmission light source for the contact-type sensor (10) to acquire the paper currency image data. The apparatus can acquire two white-light transmission images with different brightness of one and the same paper currency each time; therefore, the numbers of both new and old paper currencies can be effectively recognized, and the accuracy rate of paper currency number recognition is improved.

This paper proposes an A-class platform of bank note image identification based on FPGA and DSP, featured high-speed acquisition, real-time processing with the background of a practical project. The characteristics of the bank note are transmitted to the main controller of bank note discriminating device to help it decide whether the bank note is counterfeit or not. Our platform includes two CISs, three ADCs, one FPGA and one DSP. The system analysis and design method is discussed. The result and performance of the platform is presented. It can be integrated into the bank note discriminating device as a sub-module and has a bright prospect in application, as well as good scalability and stability.

The invention adopts the scheme that the method comprises the following steps of: configuring an image processing unit; configuring an image sensing module and a video signal coding module according to requirements of users; enabling the image sensing module and the video signal coding module to start working; waiting for the reaching of video data by the image processing unit; when a new frame of image data reach, processing the video data by using two-stage caches; transmitting data to the video signal coding module according to external display parameters; finishing coding work of a high-speed signal by the video signal coding module; and transmitting the coded signal to the display device. Compared with the prior art, the method and device disclosed by the invention have the advantages of favorable compatibility, strong expansibility, wide data bandwidth, high-speed real-time processing and the like.
