Abstract: The invention provides a method and a device of the automatic operation of an application program. The method comprises the following steps: when a WinCE (Windows Embedded Compact) system is started, calling a start control application program through a shortcut; looking up the setting information of the application program which automatically operates during startup through the called start control application program to obtain the set application program which automatically operates during the startup; and loading the set application program which automatically operates during the startup. The device comprises a startup program calling module, an automatic operation program lookup module and a loading module, wherein the startup program calling module is used for calling the startup control application program through the shortcut when the WinCE is started; the automatic operation program lookup module is used for looking up the setting information of the application program which automatically operates through the called start control application program to obtain the set application program which automatically operates; and the loading module is used for loading the set application program which automatically operates. The automatic operation of the application program during startup under the WinCE system can be simply and efficiently realized.
