TL;DR: In this article, an image open set recognition method based on a convolutional neural network (CNN) model is proposed, which comprises the steps: carrying out the processing of an image training set through aCNN model, and taking a depth feature generated by a SoftMax layer as an activation vector; calculating an average activation vector of each class, and calculating the average activation vectors as the center of each classification center; calculating the distance between the intra-class point and the centre of each classeach class center; and determining whether the target sample is an unknown category.
