TL;DR: In this paper, a router table lookup method based on fast and slow tables is presented, which includes following steps of S1, causing table item calculation by table item updating in a control plane, sending table items to a data plane; S2, receiving the table item updates messages of the control plane by the data plane, updating local table items; S3, carrying out a table lookup operation by the table plane according to the table items sent by the control planes, thus determining message forwarding behaviors.
