TL;DR: In this paper, a conductor wind deflection insulation checking method based on a finite element has been proposed, which comprises the steps as follows: determining a wind pressure non-uniformity coefficient, determining the wind pressure height variation coefficient and determining the conductor wind load shape coefficient, calculating the conductor load and calculating the insulator load, establishing a model about a pole tower, an insulator string, hardware fittings and a conductor.
