Discovery of a novel superpotent and selective melanocortin-4 receptor antagonist (HS024): evaluation in vitro and in vivo.
Ants Kask,Felikss Mutulis,Ruta Muceniece,Rein Pähkla,Ilze Mutule,Jarl E. S. Wikberg,Lembit Rägo,Helgi B. Schiöth +7 more
TL;DR: HS024 increased the food intake of free feeding rats to levels comparable to those in food-deprived rats, indicating that blockade of the MC4 receptor is a highly effective way to increase feeding.

Selective Antagonist for the Melanocortin 4 Receptor (HS014) Increases Food Intake in Free-Feeding Rats
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that attenuation of central melanocortinergic tone with HS014 induces disinhibition of feeding and provides additional evidence for the hypothesis that activation of the MC4 receptor inhibits food intake.

Evidence for involvement of neuropeptide Y receptors in the regulation of food intake: studies with Y1-selective antagonist BIBP3226.
TL;DR: Results suggest that both the NPY Y1 and Y5 receptors in the PVN are involved in the regulation of food intake and the stimulatory effect of exogenous NPY is probably mediated through an NPY receptor subtype that is not identical with the Y1 receptor (possibly Y5 receptor).

Anxiogenic-like effect of the neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor antagonist BIBP3226: antagonism with diazepam
TL;DR: The hypothesis that neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor subtype is involved in anxiety regulation is supported by the study of exploratory behaviour of rats in the elevated plus-maze.

Peripheral benzodiazepine binding sites
TL;DR: Article de synthese sur les sites de fixation peripheriques des benzodiazepines: distribution, fixation biologique, action au niveau du systeme nerveux central, regulation par le GABA et le stress, relation avec les canaux calcium, autres ligands, role physiologique.
