The invention discloses an encryption method of an application program, a storage medium and terminal equipment, and the method comprises the following steps: decoding the application program to obtain a Smali code; extracting a character string in the Smali code, encrypting the character string to generate a ciphertext, and inserting a decryption instruction after the ciphertext; replacing a character string in the Smali code with the ciphertext so as to update the Smali code; and repackaging the updated Smali code to generate the encrypted application program. Therefore, the Smali code in the application program is obtained, and the character string in the Smali code is encrypted, so that the encryption of the character string in the application program is realized, and the security of the application program is improved.
