Flash photolysis with infrared detection. The photochemistry and secondary thermal reactions of M(CO)6 [M = Cr, Mo, and W]
TL;DR: In this article, the design of a flash photolysis system with infrared detection is decribed, which is equipped with two conventional flash tubes, a CaF/sub 2/ flow cell of 0.1 cm path length, a globar as the monitoring infrared light source, a monochromator set for a resolution 0.01-0.02..mu..m (4-8 cm/sup -1/ at 2000 cm/Sup -1)/), InSb and HgCdTe photodiodes providing sufficiently high specific detectivities around 5

Total synthesis of (-)-coriolin
TL;DR: Synthese en 14 etapes a partir de la bicyclo [2.2] octene-7 dione-2,5(±) avec comme etape cle un rearrangement photochimique oxadi-π-methane as mentioned in this paper.

Über Steroide und Sexualhormone. 223. Mitteilung. UV.-Bestrahlung von 11-Oxo-Steroiden I Die Darstellung von 11β, 19-Cyclo-, 9β, 19-Cyclo- und 19-Hydroxy-5α-pregnan-Verbindungen
TL;DR: In this paper, a new two-step process for functionalisation of the non-activated methyl group 19 of 5α-steroids is described, in which the first step UV-irradiation of the 11-oxo-5α-pregnane derivate I in ethanol gives rise to a preferential attack of the photochemically excited carbonyl on methyl group19, leading to the formation of the tertiary cyclobutanol compound II in high yield.

Characterization of light-harvesting pigments of Chloroflexus aurantiacus. Two new chlorophylls: oleyl (octadec-9-enyl) and cetyl (hexadecanyl) bacteriochlorophyllides-c
TL;DR: In this article, the bacteriochlorophyll-c pigment contained in the chlorosomes of the phototrophic and thermophilic bacterium Chloroflexus aurantiacus is shown to comprise, in the least, 10 constituents.
