The method for finding the remote-control unit includes the steps of conducting judging, wherein whether finding signals transmitted by other electronic devices are received or not is judged in a first preset time length; conducting controlling, wherein the remote-control unit is controlled to stop the signal receiving function if the finding signals are not received in the first preset time length, and the signal receiving function is restarted to execute the judgment step again after a second preset time length until the finding signals are received; conducting processing, wherein when the finding signals are received, responses are made for the finding signals. By means of the technical scheme, on the premise that a user can accurately and easily find the remote-control unit, power dissipation of the remote-control unit is reduced.
