Vision Transformers signify a revolutionary amalgamation of transformer architectures and vision data processing, offering extraordinary capabilities in comprehending intricate vision information. In Industry 4.0, these models transform manufacturing processes by optimizing automation, enhancing quality control, and enabling predictive maintenance through sophisticated analysis of high-dimensional vision data. Industry 5.0, characterized by human-robot collaboration, benefits from Vision Transformers by facilitating seamless human-machine interaction and bolstering safety measures in shared workspaces. Nonetheless, the widespread adoption of Vision Transformers presents challenges. Transformers in Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0, and Society 5.0: Roles and Challenges

With the increase in computing power and the availability of large amounts of data, deep learning techniques, especially convolutional neural networks (CNNS) and recurrent neural networks (RNNS), have become important tools for processing complex signals. These methods show excellent performance in speech recognition, image processing, natural language processing and so on. In this paper, we explore the application of recurrent neural network (RNN) sequence algorithms in the field of computer digital signal processing, highlighting current artificial intelligence techniques and their capabilities in solving complex signal processing problems. First, the paper reviews the basic principles and development of deep learning and RNN sequence algorithms, highlighting the advances these advanced technologies have made in simulating the way the human brain processes information. The practical application and effect of RNN sequence algorithm in computer digital signal processing are demonstrated through experimental data. By comparing with traditional algorithms, we demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of RNN in processing complex signals, such as speech recognition in noisy environments and real-time video data processing. The experimental data not only demonstrate the effectiveness of RNNS in this field, but also highlight the unique advantages of deep learning methods when dealing with large and high-dimensional data. Through these empirical studies, this paper aims to provide researchers and engineers with an in-depth understanding of the potential of RNNS in digital signal processing applications, and looks forward to the future development direction of artificial intelligence technology in this field.

Enhancing Computer Digital Signal Processing through the Utilization of RNN Sequence Algorithms

Accurate segmentation of breast ultrasound (BUS) images is crucial for early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Further, the task of segmenting lesions in BUS images continues to pose significant challenges due to the limitations of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in capturing long-range dependencies and obtaining global context information. Existing methods relying solely on CNNs have struggled to address these issues. Recently, ConvNeXts have emerged as a promising architecture for CNNs, while transformers have demonstrated outstanding performance in diverse computer vision tasks, including the analysis of medical images. In this paper, we propose a novel breast lesion segmentation network CS-Net that combines the strengths of ConvNeXt and Swin Transformer models to enhance the performance of the U-Net architecture. Our network operates on BUS images and adopts an end-to-end approach to perform segmentation. To address the limitations of CNNs, we design a hybrid encoder that incorporates modified ConvNeXt convolutions and Swin Transformer. Furthermore, to enhance capturing the spatial and channel attention in feature maps we incorporate the Coordinate Attention Module. Second, we design an Encoder-Decoder Features Fusion Module that facilitates the fusion of low-level features from the encoder with high-level semantic features from the decoder during the image reconstruction. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our network over state-of-the-art image segmentation methods for BUS lesions segmentation. 

Multi-task approach based on combined CNN-transformer for efficient segmentation and classification of breast tumors in ultrasound images

The advancement in technology and the availability of specialized digital signal processing chips have made digital filter design and implementation more feasible in a variety of fields, including biomedical engineering. This paper makes two key contributions. First, it uses a genetic algorithm to optimize the coefficients of finite impulse response (FIR) filters. Second, it conducts a case study on using genetic algorithms to optimize FIR filters for electrocardiogram (ECG) biomedical signal noise removal. The goal of the proposed filter design approach is to achieve the desired signal bandwidth while minimizing the side lobe level and eliminating unwanted signals using a genetic algorithm. The results of a comprehensive analysis show that the genetic algorithm-based filter is more effective than conventional filter designs in terms of noise removal efficiency.

Computer vision-based tracking and feature extraction for lingual ultrasound

Lingual ultrasound imaging is essential in linguistic research and speech recognition. It has been used widely in different applications as visual feedback to enhance language learning for non-native speakers, study speech-related disorders and remediation, articulation research and analysis, swallowing study, tongue 3D modelling, and silent speech interface. This article provides a comparative analysis and review based on quantitative and qualitative criteria of the two main streams of tongue contour segmentation from ultrasound images. The first stream utilizes traditional computer vision and image processing algorithms for tongue segmentation. The second stream uses machine and deep learning algorithms for tongue segmentation. The results show that tongue tracking using machine learning-based techniques is superior to traditional techniques, considering the performance and algorithm generalization ability. Meanwhile, traditional techniques are helpful for implementing interactive image segmentation to extract valuable features during training and postprocessing. We recommend using a hybrid approach to combine machine learning and traditional techniques to implement a real-time tongue segmentation tool.
