A digital PLL (phase locked loop) circuit includes a sampling circuit, a plurality of internal circuits and an output switching circuit. The sampling circuit samples a burst data signal in response to a multi-phase clock signal to produce N (N is a positive integer larger than one) sampled data signals. The multi-phase clock signal includes N clock signals, each of which has substantially the same frequency as the data signal and which have phases different by a predetermined component from one after another. Each of the plurality of internal circuits is selected in response to a first selection signal, and outputs a set of a selected one of the N clock signals and an identified data signal from the N sampled data signals, which corresponds to the selected clock signal, in response to the selected clock signal, when the internal circuit is selected. The output switching circuit selects the set corresponding to the selected internal circuit from among the sets from the plurality of internal circuits based on a second selection signal.

An apparatus and a method for detecting the energy of a tone signal. A pre-process unit takes absolute values of transmitted samples and outputs the values to a delay unit for delaying the transmitted samples according to a predetermined delay interval. An operation unit subtracts the value calculated by multiplying the magnitudes of the samples transmitted before and after the burst detection from the square value of the magnitude of the sample at the time of burst detection among the delayed transmitted samples. A detection unit detects the burst by confirming whether peaks corresponding to the number of the samples transmitted before the sample of the burst detection are detected by a signal of an value input from the operation unit. Therefore, the present invention can reduce a probability of a false alarm caused by an impulse error and burst errors and thus perform stable burst detection.

Apparatus and method for detecting energy of tone signal

An optical packet switching apparatus includes an optical switch unit for switching the route of a received optical packet signal and output the received optical packet signal, and an optical switch control unit for extracting destination information from the received optical packet and generating a control signal for the optical switch unit according to the destination information. The optical switch control unit includes a clock generator for generating a plurality of local clocks of different phases, and a clock selector for selecting a local clock having the smallest phase difference with the received optical packet from the plurality of local clocks. The optical switch control unit generates the control signal using the local clock selected by the clock selector as an operation clock.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous clock signal from being selected by providing plural AND gates to a post-stage of a signal latch section and providing an output of output signals from the AND gates to a next stage as a phase selection signal. SOLUTION: M-sets of signal latch sections 11-14 latch signals indicating a detection timing of a change point of a leading or a trailing of a reception burst signal by M-series. Then M-sets of AND gates 15-18 input an noninverting output signal from each of the signal latch sections 11-14 to one input terminal and input an output of an inverting output signal at a succeeding phase from each of the signal latch sections 11-14 to the other input terminal.
