Potentials of saponins-based adjuvants for nasal vaccines
TL;DR: Saponins, natural glycosides derived from plants, have shown potential as vaccine adjuvants, as they can activate the mammalian immune system as mentioned in this paper . But, their safety and efficacy has not been evaluated.
BMP7 Attenuates Neuroinflammation after Spinal Cord Injury by Suppressing the Microglia Activation and Inducing Microglial Polarization Via the STAT3 Pathway
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that treatment with recombinant human BMP7 suppresses the viability of LPS-induced HMC3 microglia cells and increases the proportion with the M2 phenotype, and the levels of TNF-α and IL-1β were significantly decreased in cell culture supernatants, lesion sites of injured spinal cords, and cerebrospinal fluid circulation after rhBMP7 administration.

BMP7 alleviates trigeminal neuralgia by reducing oligodendrocyte apoptosis and demyelination
Kai Chen,Xiaojin Wei,Ruixuan Wang,Lin Yang,Dingquan Zou,Yaping Wang +5 more
TL;DR: BMP7 can alleviate TN by reducing OLs apoptosis and subsequent demyelination and the mechanism behind this protection could be BMP7-mediated activation of the STAT3 and NF-κB/p65 signaling pathway and subsequent decrease in OL apoptosis.

Cerebrospinal Fluid Proteomic Profiles in Patients with Postherpetic Neuralgia.
Kai Chen,Meng Wang,Dongju Long,Dingquan Zou,Xin Li,Ruixuan Wang,Yaping Wang,Lin Yang +7 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that PLG, APOA1, and APOE and their involved processes such as infection, inflammation, cholesterol metabolism, and coagulation shall be potential therapeutic approaches.

Bone morphogenetic protein 4 derived from the cerebrospinal fluid in patients with postherpetic neuralgia induces allodynia via the crosstalk between microglia and astrocyte
Kai Chen,Xiaojin Wei,Wenjuan Zhang,Ruixuan Wang,Yaping Wang,Lin Yang +5 more
TL;DR: Bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) in cerebrospinal fluid of postherpetic neuralgia patients induces allodynia by modulating microglia and astrocyte crosstalk, highlighting BMP4 as an independent glial cell activator in neuropathic pain.
