Polar envelope correction mechanism for enhancing linearity of RF/microwave power amplifier
John A. Eisenberg,Brian L. Baskin,Charles Stuart Robertson,Dieter Werner Statezni,Lance Todd Mucenieks,David Lee Brubaker +5 more
- 30 Jan 1996
TL;DR: In this paper, an amplitude and phase distortion correction mechanism based on signal envelope feedback was proposed to improve the linearity of an RF/microwave power amplifier. But this mechanism was not applied to the phase-amplitude controller, which was designed to handle the changes in gain and phase through the signal path caused by changes in RF input power, DC power supply voltages, time, temperature and other variables.
