Effects of ferrous ion concentration on microbiologically influenced corrosion of carbon steel by sulfate reducing bacterium Desulfovibrio vulgaris
TL;DR: In this paper, a sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) culture medium was used to enhance the MIC of carbon steel, which was attributed to Fe2+ detoxification of H2S.

Data-mining and atmospheric corrosion resistance evaluation of Sn- and Sb-additional low alloy steel based on big data technology
TL;DR: Corrosion big data method can accurately identify the influence of various factors on corrosion resistance of low alloy and is an effective and promising way in corrosion research.

Microstructure evolution and SSCC behavior of strain-strengthened 304 SS pre-strained at room temperature and cryogenic temperature
Baozhuang Sun,Yue Dou Pan,Jike Yang,Jing Guo,Bojie Zhao,Xianguang Liu,Zhiyong Liu,Xiaogang Li +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , microstructure and sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) of 304 stainless steel (SS) pre-strained at cryogenic and room temperature were studied. 304 SS exhibits extremely high SSCC susceptibility, which increases as prestrain rises for the acceleration of AD and HE.

Microbiologically influenced corrosion of FeCoNiCrMn high-entropy alloys by Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm
TL;DR: Investigation of the MIC behavior of FeCoNiCrMn high-entropy alloy (HEA) by P. aeruginosa biofilm showed that the biofilm reduced the corrosion resistance of the passive film of HEA coupons and promoted its anodic dissolution process.
X80 U-bend stress corrosion cracking (SCC) crack tip dissolution by fast corroding Desulfovibrio ferrophilus biofilm
Zhong Li,Jike Yang,Shih-Chen Lu,Tingyue Gu +3 more
TL;DR: This study demonstrates that fast corroding Desulfovibrio ferrophilus biofilm prevents stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in X80 carbon steel U-bends by dissolving crack tips, whereas slower corroding Desulfovibrio vulgaris biofilm causes SCC.
