Glaucomatous damage of the macula
Donald C. Hood,Ali S. Raza,Carlos Gustavo De Moraes,Carlos Gustavo De Moraes,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Robert Ritch,Robert Ritch +7 more
TL;DR: Clinicians need to be aware that glaucomatous damage to the macula is common, can occur early in the disease, and can be missed and/or underestimated with standard VF tests that use a 6° grid, such as the 24-2 VF test.

Evolving guidelines for intravitreous injections.
Lloyd Paul Aiello,Alexander J. Brucker,Stanley Chang,Emmett T. Cunningham,Donald J. D'Amico,Harry W. Flynn,Lisa R. Grillone,Steve Hutcherson,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Terrence P. O'Brien,Ingrid U. Scott,Richard F. Spaide,Christopher N. Ta,Michael T. Trese +13 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this document is to identify specific strategies for the delivery of IVT injection that may reduce risks and improve outcomes, and to identify outstanding issues in need of further investigation.

Risk Factors for Visual Field Progression in Treated Glaucoma
Carlos Gustavo De Moraes,Viral Juthani,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Christopher C. Teng,Christopher C. Teng,Christopher C. Teng,Celso Tello,Celso Tello,Remo Susanna,Robert Ritch,Robert Ritch +11 more
TL;DR: IOP-dependent and IOP-independent risk factors affect disease progression in treated glaucoma and peak IOP is a better predictor of progression than is IOP mean or fluctuation.

A randomized trial of brimonidine versus timolol in preserving visual function: results from the Low-Pressure Glaucoma Treatment Study.
Theodore Krupin,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,David S. Greenfield,Robert Ritch,Robert Ritch,Stuart K. Gardiner +6 more
TL;DR: Low-pressure glaucoma patients treated with brimonidine 0.2% who do not develop ocular allergy are less likely to have field progression than patients treating with timolol 0.5%, and similar differences in progression were observed when analyzed by GCPM and the 3-omitting method.

Performance of Deep Learning Architectures and Transfer Learning for Detecting Glaucomatous Optic Neuropathy in Fundus Photographs
Mark Christopher,Akram Belghith,Christopher Bowd,James A. Proudfoot,Michael H. Goldbaum,Robert N. Weinreb,Christopher A. Girkin,Jeffrey M. Liebmann,Linda M. Zangwill +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that deep learning-based assessment of fundus images could be useful in clinical decision support systems and in the automation of large-scale glaucoma detection and screening programs.
