Radiotherapy versus transoral robotic surgery and neck dissection for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (ORATOR): an open-label, phase 2, randomised trial.
Anthony C. Nichols,Julie A. Theurer,Eitan Prisman,Nancy Read,Eric Berthelet,Eric Tran,Kevin Fung,John R. de Almeida,Andrew Bayley,David P. Goldstein,Michael P. Hier,Khalil Sultanem,Keith Richardson,Alex Mlynarek,Suren Krishnan,Hien Le,John Yoo,S. Danielle MacNeil,Eric Winquist,J. Alex Hammond,Varagur Venkatesan,Sara Kuruvilla,Andrew Warner,Sylvia Mitchell,Jeff Chen,Martin Corsten,Stephanie Johnson-Obaseki,Libni Eapen,Michael Odell,Christina Parker,Bret Wehrli,Keith Kwan,David A. Palma +32 more
TL;DR: Patients treated with radiotherapy showed superior swallowing-related QOL scores 1 year after treatment, although the difference did not represent a clinically meaningful change, and toxicity patterns differed between the groups.

A treatment planning study comparing whole breast radiation therapy against conformal, IMRT and tomotherapy for accelerated partial breast irradiation
M Oliver,Jeff Chen,Jeff Chen,Eugene Wong,Eugene Wong,Jake Van Dyk,Jake Van Dyk,Francisco Perera +7 more
TL;DR: The four-field IMRT plan produced the best dosimetric results; however this technique would require appropriate respiratory motion management and an alternative would be to use a four- field conformal technique that is less sensitive to the effects of respiratory motion.

Intensity-modulated arc therapy simplified
TL;DR: The IMAT strategy is easier to understand and more efficient in generating plans than inverse planning systems; the plans are also simpler to modify, and quality assurance is more intuitive.

Method and system for optimizing dose delivery of radiation
Samuel Pedro Goldman,Jerry J. Battista,Jeff Chen +2 more
- 10 Dec 2004
TL;DR: In this paper, an improved form of objective function is used for mapping radiotherapy beams to a patient body volume having at least one target volume and at least 1 non-target volume.

A Phase 1/2 Trial of Brief Androgen Suppression and Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (FASTR) for High-Risk Prostate Cancer
Glenn Bauman,Michelle Ferguson,Michael Lock,Jeff Chen,Belal Ahmad,Varagur Venkatesan,Tracy Sexton,David D'Souza,Andrew Loblaw,Andrew Warner,George Rodrigues +10 more
TL;DR: This novel condensed treatment had higher than anticipated late toxicities and was terminated before phase 2 accrual.
