TL;DR: The Latin American Registry of Hepatotoxicity (LATINDILI) was created in 2011, and more than 350 DILI patients have been recruited to date, mainly focusing on several features of responsible medicaments as mentioned in this paper.

A controlled trial of 6 months thrice weekly lymphoblastoid interferon versus no therapy in chronic hepatitis B virus infection. A preliminary analysis of the first 32 patients.
GraemeJ.M. Alexander,E.A. Fagan,P. Guarner,Nancy Rolando,Javier Brahm,A. L. W. F. Eddleston,Roger Williams +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a controlled trial of lymphoblastoid interferon versus no therapy in patients positive for HBsAg, HBeAg and DNA polymerase activity with separate randomisation for sexual preference and histology is underway.

Joint Society Statement for elimination of viral hepatitis
TL;DR: Of the five hepatitis viruses (A-E), hepatitis B, C, and D viruses cause chronic liver disease leading to cirrhosis, liver failure and liver cancer, hepatitis A and E viruses are transmitted orally and cause acute hepatitis, which may result in acute hepatitis failure and death.

Prognostic significance of pre-S2 antigen and antibody in fulminant hepatitis B. Evidence for heterogeneous serological responses.
Javier Brahm,Elizabeth A. Fagan,Agata Budkowska,Pascal Dubreuil,Heather M. Smith,Jacques Pillot,Roger Williams +6 more
TL;DR: Serial sera were collected prospectively and from early on in the clinical course of ten patients with fulminant hepatitis B for HBV DNA, HBsAg, HBeAg, pre-S2-Ag and their respective antibodies and two patterns emerged which may indicate continuing virus replication and liver cell damage.

Sequential studies of pre-S2 antigenemia and anti-pre-S2 antibodies in relation to viral replication in acute hepatitis B followed from the early incubation phase.
Javier Brahm,Sandro Vento,Elio G. Rondanelli,Sergio Ranieri,Elizabeth A. Fagan,Roger Williams,Adrian L. W. F. Eddleston +6 more
TL;DR: Results demonstrate that expression of pre‐S2 peptide occurs very early in the incubation phase of acute HBV infection and is cleared in parallel with HBsAg, and anti‐pre‐S1 antibodies seem to play no role in viral clearance in these patients.
