Opinion dynamics in social networks with stubborn agents
Javad Ghaderi,R. Srikant +1 more
TL;DR: This paper model opinions as continuous scalars ranging from 0 to 1 with 1 ( 0 ) representing extremely positive (negative) opinion and studies whether an equilibrium can emerge as a result of such local interactions and how such equilibrium possibly depends on the network structure, initial opinions of the agents, and the location of stubborn agents and the extent of their stubbornness.

On the design of efficient CSMA algorithms for wireless networks
Javad Ghaderi,R. Srikant +1 more
- 01 Dec 2010
TL;DR: In this article, the authors tightened their result by showing that throughput optimality is preserved even with weight functions of the form log(q)/g(q), where g(q) can be a function that increases arbitrarily slowly.

Opinion Dynamics in Social Networks: A Local Interaction Game with Stubborn Agents

An Improved Bound for Minimizing the Total Weighted Completion Time of Coflows in Datacenters
Mehrnoosh Shafiee,Javad Ghaderi +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polynomial-time deterministic algorithm with an approximation ratio of 5 was proposed for the special case when all coflows are released at time zero, which improved the prior best known ratio of 8.

A Simple Congestion-Aware Algorithm for Load Balancing in Datacenter Networks
Mehrnoosh Shafiee,Javad Ghaderi +1 more
TL;DR: A low-complexity congestion-aware algorithm is proposed that assigns the flows to the available paths in an online fashion and without splitting, and it is proved that it asymptotically minimizes the total network cost.
