David S. Garvey,Gregory J. Larosa,Jeremy R. Greenwood,Mark L. Brewer,Tan Quach,Jamie B. Cote,Judd Berman +6 more
- 27 Nov 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, a number of compounds are described that are useful for treating ophthalmic conditions caused by or related to production of toxic visual cycle products that accumulate in the eye, such as dry adult macular degeneration, as well as conditions related to the misfolding of mutant opsin proteins and/or the mislocalization of OPSIN proteins.

Cyclization of protected N-acylhydroxyguanidine to 3-amino-1,2,4-oxadiazole
TL;DR: The acid mediated cyclization of a protected N -acylhydroxyguanidine into the corresponding 3-amino-1,2,4-oxadiazole and confirmation of its structure by single crystal X-ray crystallography is reported in this article.

Ligands de liaison à l'opsine, compositions et procédés d'utilisation
David S. Garvey,Gregory J. Larosa,Jeremy R. Greenwood,Mark L. Brewer,Tan Quach,Jamie B. Cote,Judd Berman +6 more
- 16 Jun 2010
Synthesis of the Nakanishi Ring-Locked Retinoid
Jamie B. Cote,Tan Quach,Andrey P. Demenev,David S. Garvey,Judd Berman +4 more
- 05 Oct 2011
TL;DR: An optimized synthetic route to prepare ring-locked retinoid 1a has been developed and it is found that isomerically pure 1a can be stored in amber vials under argon at −20°C for use over time (up to six months) without degradation, enabling 1a to be an accessible and valuable biological tool.
