Incremental Evaluation of Natural Semantics Specification
Isabelle Attali,Jacques Chazarain,Serge Gilette +2 more
- 26 Aug 1992
TL;DR: This work shows how to replace, under certain hypotheses, the Prolog engine by a functional evaluator; this is possible because unification is no longer required and can be replaced by pattern matching.

Functional evaluation of natural semantics specifications
Isabelle Attali,Jacques Chazarain +1 more
- 01 Jan 1990
TL;DR: It is proved that under acceptable conditions, the unification process is no longer required and can be replaced by a simple pattern-matching mechanism, and a functional implementation of Typol programs is deduced.

Mechanizable inductive proofs for a class of ∀ ∃ formulas
Jacques Chazarain,Emmanuel Kounalis +1 more
- 26 Jun 1994
TL;DR: It is shown how to prove formulas of the form ∀ x∃ yΦ(x, y) in the initial model of an equational variety by using purely algebraic simplifications to tackle theorems whose proofs requires complicated noetherian induction.

Functional evaluation of strongly noncircular typol specifications
Isabelle Attali,Jacques Chazarain +1 more
- 01 Sep 1990
TL;DR: It is proved that under acceptable conditions, the unification process is no longer required and can be replaced by a simple pattern-matching mechanism, which makes it possible to give a functional implementation of Typol programs.

Mechanizable Inductive Proofs for a Class of Forall Exists Formulas
Jacques Chazarain,Emmanuel Kounalis +1 more
- 26 Jun 1994
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show how to prove formulas of the form ∀ x ∃ yΦ(x, y) in the initial model of an equational variety by using purely algebraic simplifications.
