Then the signal Sb is multiplied by pictures B and C stored in a main memory 14 to obtain the picture signals B and A having vignetted contours. These pictures are multiplied with the signal Sa to obtain a picture signal. These picture signals are superposed each other within the part 8. Thus it is possible to obtain a picture signal of a composite picture obtained by varying smoothly the density of picture elements near the boundary of both pictures and with an optional changing factor. The composite picture signal is converted to a D/A converter 11 and displayed on a color monitor 12.

It is executed by repeating a high-speed transfer (4) to a filtering operation part 9, execution of the filtering operation, and read of output data from the internal bus.

Convolutional functions are used to modulate picture data corresponding to overlap parts, and this picture data is subjected to superposition calculation together with another picture data corresponding to overlap parts, and generated mosaicking generation picture data 13A and 13B are stored in picture data file 5. Data is cut out by picture data cutting-out processing part 14 and is edited and displayed. Meanwhile, it is output to picture film 8 and is recorded on picture recording medium 3.

PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time, by absorbing an overflow portion of a data applied with one-dimensional Fourier conversion due to limitation of memory capacity, into the processing time of a Fourier conversion processor by an external memory synchronizing control device, and restoring it in an external memory. CONSTITUTION:From a a magnetic tape device 38 of a two-dimensional Fourier conversion (FFT) processing device 40, a part of an FFT unfinished data is stored in an input buffer 50, and in accordance with its data, the processing is executed by an FFT processor 56 and a rearranging device 58. An effective part of this processed one-dimensional FFT finished data is stored in a one-dimensional FFT finished storage buffer 52, and also in an output buffer 54, an overflow part of the one-dimensional FFT finished data is stored. The data of the overflow part stored in this buffer 54 is transferred to an external memory device 62, taking prescribed synchronization by an external synchronization control device 60. Also, the effective part of the one-dimensional FFT finished data stored in the buffer 52 is applied with two-dimensional FFT-prodession by the processor 56, and is stored in an external memory 36 through the buffer 54.

PURPOSE:To increase the compensating accuracy of picture distortions, by estimating automatically a feature point where the geometric accuracy is measured, deciding the order to feed the estimated feature point to a filter and then giving a fine adjustment to the estimated position of the feature point in a prescribed case. CONSTITUTION:A feature point information process 16, a feature point position estimating process 23, an extracting process 17 for picture (estimated chip) around the estimated position of the feature point, and an extracting process 15 for picture (reference chip) around registered feature point are carried out through feature point files 11 and 12 and a picture file 13 of a compensating subject. An estimated chip 22 is matched with a reference chip 20 by an automatic matching process 21, and the input order is decided by a filter input order deciding process 25 to perform a filter process 31. The filter input order is decided in order of smaller error of feature point within the chip 22.
