Patent
Process for manufacturing galvanized steel sheet by nickel pre-coating method
Kazumi Nishimura,Hisao Odashima,Tetsuya Ohara,Ryohei Mizoguchi,Shigeto Fujii +4 more
- 15 May 1991
TL;DR: In this article, a galvanized steel sheet is manufactured by coating a steel sheet with nickel in an amount of from 0.2 to 2 g/m², heating the steel sheet thus coated to a temperature within the range of from 420°C to 500°C in a non-oxidative atmosphere, and dipping the nickel coated steel sheet into a molten zinc bath containing aluminum at a content of between 0.1 to 1% without contact with air.

Oxidation inhibition mechanism and performance of a new protective coating for slab reheating of 3% Si-steel.
Hisao Odashima,Makoto Kitayama +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties and antioxidation mechanisms of newly developed oxidation inhibitor consisting of refractory powder-SiO2-Si-SiC-synthetic mica-colloidal silica-surface active agent and caking bond were clarified.

Heat treatment of metals in a controlled surface atmosphere
Minoru Kitayama,Yamaguchi Susumu,Hisao Odashima +2 more
- 18 Jan 1974
TL;DR: In this paper, a process of treating metals with coatings capable, upon heating, of providing and maintaining a controlled atmosphere around the surfaces of said metals is described, which process comprises coating the surface of the metals with a base coating composition capable of providing a gas, and then with an over-coating composition that maintains the gas around the surface at high temperatures while excluding an environmental oxidizing atmosphere therefrom.

Method for preventing decarburization of steel materials
Kitayama Minoru,Hisao Odashima +1 more
- 06 Feb 1979
TL;DR: In this article, a method for preventing decarburization of a steel material comprising applying a mixture of SiC powder and metallic Al powder, further applying an oxidation inhibitor thereon, and heating thus coated steel material, so as to give 30 to 500 g/m 2 SiC on the steel material.

Process for producing cold rolled steel strip highly susceptible to conversion treatment and product thereof
Hisao Odashima,Saito Takao,Hirano Yoshihiko +2 more
- 16 Jul 1984
TL;DR: In this article, anodic electrolytically treating at least one non-plated surface of a cold-rolled steel strip to form a layer of oxides thereon, and cathodic electrostatic treating the above-mentioned surface to remove a portion of the oxide layer to an extent that the remaining portion of oxide layer is in an amount corresponding to a quantity of electricity of from 0.05 to 4.0 millicoulomb/cm 2 which is necessary to completely remove the remaining portions of the oxides layer by means of a cathodic electrolytic treatment in an aque
