The control unit is capable of selecting at least two items of information for display, and the display unit assigns an indicator to each of the selected and displayed items to indicate that an additional item for dispaly exists. Thus, sufficient information which the driver of the vehicle may wish to know can be displayed in a limited space of the display unit.
