An integrated-circuit, continuous-time, sigma-delta analogue-to-digital converter has a single-ended analogue input, a converter reference input, and a ground connection. The converter has a resistor-capacitor integrator arranged to receive the single-ended analogue input. The integrator comprises a differential amplifier. The converter also has a clocked comparator connected to an output from the integrator, and circuitry arranged so that reference inputs to the amplifier and to the comparator can be maintained at a common voltage derived from the converter reference input.

Analogue-to-digital converter

The present disclosure relates to a pixel sensing device for an organic light emitting display device OLED which minimize the influence of panel noise and improves sensing accuracy and reliability. A current integrator CI is connected to a pixel through a sensing line of a display panel which may be a data line (Fig. 5: 140) or a reference voltage line (Fig. 3: 150), and configured to integrate a pixel current IPIX flowing through the pixel to generate an integrator output voltage CI-OUT; a sample and hold unit SH configured to sample and hold the integrator output voltage; an analogue to digital converter (ADC) configured to convert the integrator output voltage output from the sample and hold unit into a digital signal; and a first capacitor CX1 configured to minimize a distortion of the integrator output voltage CI-OUT due to panel noise mixed to the pixel current. A data driving unit (Fig. 1: 25) comprising the sensing unit 22 and a driving voltage generator (Fig. 1: 23) may be embedded in the driver IC (Fig. 1: 20). Image data is adjusted to compensate for changes in driving characteristics among the pixels. Image data may also be compensate for an amplifier offset.

Current Sensing Device and Organic Light Emitting Display Device Including the Same

PURPOSE: To easily realize a 2nd order sigma/delta converter and to realize a 1-bit A/D converter with high performance and less number of components by forming a feedback type noise suppressing circuit comprising 1st and 2nd operational amplifiers applied with negative feedback by means of a capacitor. CONSTITUTION: An analog input signal is inputted to an adder 10 to take a difference from an output signal with one sample delay. The difference signal is inverted by an inverter 11 and added with the signal subjected to 1 sample delay at a delay device 12 by an adder 13 and the result is integrated. The integrated signal is added to an output signal subjected to 1 sample delay by an adder 14. After the addition signal is inverted by an inverter 15, the result is added to the signal delayed by one sample at a delay circuit 16 by an adder 17 and the result is integrated. The integrated signal is inputted to a binary quantizer (1 bit A/D converter) 18 and a 1-bit digital output signal is outputted. The digital output signal is delayed by one sample at a delay device 19 and the output signal subjected to one sample delay is given to the adders 10, 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
