Enhanced single-mode fiber laser emission by nano-crystallization of oxyfluoride glass-ceramic cores
Shiliang Kang,Huang Zhenpeng,Wei Lin,Dandan Yang,Junjie Zhao,Xvsheng Qiao,Xiudi Xiao,Shanhui Xu,Jianrong Qiu,Jincheng Du,Guoping Dong +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a single-frequency fiber laser with 1.55 μm optical output was achieved using Er3+/Yb3+codoped glass-ceramic (GC) as a core material and a "molten core" fiber-drawing technique.

A facile process to prepare one dimension VO2 nanostructures with superior metal–semiconductor transition
TL;DR: In this article, the shape of the VO2 nanobelts evolves with hydrothermal temperature, time and reactant concentration, and the regular nanobels are also obtained by the decrease of V2O5 concentration.

Influence of laser-induced air breakdown on femtosecond laser ablation of aluminum.
TL;DR: The dominated mechanisms were clarified at different stages during femtosecond laser pulses ablating aluminum, which provide very valuable information for ultrashort laser ablation of metals.

Spectroscopic properties in Er3+-doped germanotellurite glasses and glass ceramics for mid-infrared laser materials.
TL;DR: It is found that the present Er3+-doped GC possesses large stimulated emission cross section at around 2.7 μm (0.85 × 10−20 cm2), suggesting that the obtained GC may be a promising material for mid-infrared fiber lasers.
