The first recognition means compares the feature quantity of the imaged object and the feature quantity for collation of the commodities which are previously registered in a dictionary and recognizes commodity candidates as candidates of the object from among the commodities based on the similarity. The input means receives an input to select a commodity which corresponds to the object from among the commodity candidates. The second recognition means recognizes the commodity which corresponds to the object based on the code symbol. The control means controls the first recognition means and the second recognition means to carry out the processing in parallel. The electronic receipt is transmitted in response to a request for electronic receipts associated with the second user ID.
