TL;DR: The diversity of uncultured Frankia populations in root nodules of Alnus oblongifolia trees geographically isolated on mountaintops of central Arizona was analyzed by comparative sequence analyses of nifH gene fragments and microdiversity was demonstrated and partitioning of diversity by site suggested.
