Influence of mechanical alloying on Ti3SiC2 formation via spark plasma sintering technique from Ti/SiC/C powders
TL;DR: In this paper, the results showed that mechanical alloying was not advantageous for pure Ti 3 SiC 2 formation but it can significantly improve the density of the obtained bulk material via the particles refinement as well as the microhardness by increasing the TiC content.

Spark Plasma Sintering of Co80Ni20 nanopowders synthesized by polyol process and their magnetic and mechanical properties
Nassima Ouar,Mohamed Ali Bousnina,Mohamed Ali Bousnina,Frédéric Schoenstein,Silvana Mercone,Ovidiu Brinza,Samir Farhat,Noureddine Jouini +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a bottom-up process to elaborate nanostructured cobalt materials is described, where the as-obtained nanopowders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering (SPS) in order to limit the grain size growth.

Morphology control of the magnetization reversal mechanism in Co80Ni20 nanomagnets
Silvana Mercone,Fatih Zighem,Brigitte Leridon,Audrey Gaul,Frédéric Schoenstein,Noureddine Jouini +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the shape and morphological dependence of the magnetization reversal mechanism in weakly interacting Co80Ni20 hexagonal-close-packed nanowires was investigated.

Effect of stacking faults on the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of hcp Co-based nanowires
Tuan Mai Kha,Frédéric Schoenstein,Fatih Zighem,Sophie Nowak,Brigitte Leridon,Noureddine Jouini,Silvana Mercone +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the role of stacking faults and shape and morphology on the magnetization reversal mechanism in cobalt-based nanowires has been investigated and the results showed that even if the morphological characteristics are conducive to a high coercive field, the presence of numerous stacking faults has the opposite effect and leads to materials with a significantly lower coercive field than expected, which is not suitable for permanent magnet applications.

Ultrasound assisted synthesis of nanocrystalline zinc oxide: Experiments and modelling☆
Mongia Hosni,Samir Farhat,Frédéric Schoenstein,Farah Karmous,Noureddine Jouini,Bruno Viana,Arbi Mgaidi +6 more
TL;DR: A fast and green approach for the preparation of nanocrystalline zinc oxide (ZnO) via ultrasonic (US) irradiation in polyol medium is proposed in this paper.
