Expression of Programmed Cell Death Ligand in Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Treatment of Locally Advanced Disease With Pembrolizumab.
Mary L. Stevenson,Claire Q.F. Wang,M. Abikhair,N. Roudiani,Diane Felsen,James G. Krueger,Anna C. Pavlick,John A. Carucci +7 more
TL;DR: The favorable treatment response combined with significant involvement of PD-1 and PD ligands in cSCC lesions suggests thatPD-1 blockade may be a viable therapeutic option for locally advanced cS CC and provides rationale for further investigation in future clinical trials.

Toradol, an Nsaid Used for Renal Colic, Decreases Renal Perfusion and Ureteral Pressure in a Canine Model of Unilateral Ureteral Obstruction
Aaron P. Perlmutter,Lawrence Miller,Linda A. Trimble,Donald N. Marion,E. Darracott Vaughan,Diane Felsen +5 more
TL;DR: Changes in RBF and ureteral pressure, together with the known effects of NSAIDs on pain pathways, may contribute to the pain relief observed clinically with Toradol, however, the abrupt changes in renal hemodynamics brought on byToradol to the obstructed kidney may compromise renal reserve, and Toradols should be used cautiously in treating renal colic.

Increased Tc22 and Treg/CD8 ratio contribute to aggressive growth of transplant associated squamous cell carcinoma.
Shali Zhang,Hideki Fujita,Hiroshi Mitsui,Valerie R. Yanofsky,Judilyn Fuentes-Duculan,Julia S. Pettersen,Mayte Suárez-Fariñas,Juana Gonzalez,Claire Q.F. Wang,James G. Krueger,Diane Felsen,John A. Carucci +11 more
TL;DR: Diminished cytotoxic T cell function in TSCC due to decreased CD8/T-reg ratio may permit tumor progression, and increased IL-22 andIL-22R expression could accelerate tumor growth in transplant patients.
Mechanism of healing following the snodgrass repair
TL;DR: Healing of the incision in the dorsal urethral plate during tubularized incised plate urethroplasty occurs by re-epithelialization with normal tissue ingrowth, in contrast, the sutured closure heals with a desmoplastic and inflammatory response.
