Maximizing the Probability of Delivery of Multipoint Relay Broadcast Protocol in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks with a Realistic Physical Layer
François Ingelrest,David Simplot-Ryl +1 more
- 13 Dec 2006
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study the multipoint relay protocol (MPR) and provide three heuristics in replacement and their performances demonstrate that they better suit to the considered model and give experimental results showing that the original method provided to select the set of relays does not give good results with the realistic model.

Guaranteed Delivery for Geographical Anycasting in Wireless Multi-Sink Sensor and Sensor-Actor Networks
Nathalie Mitton,David Simplot-Ryl,Ivan Stojmenovic +2 more
- 19 Apr 2009
TL;DR: The first localized anycasting algorithms that guarantee delivery for connected multi-sink sensor-actor networks are described and guaranteed delivery property is proved analytically and experimentally.
On using Virtual Coordinates for Routing in the Context of Wireless Sensor Networks
Thomas Watteyne,David Simplot-Ryl,Isabelle Augé-Blum,Mischa Dohler +3 more
- 04 Dec 2007
TL;DR: This paper proposes to use virtual coordinates, where each node determines its [x,y] position in a virtual space based on a random or pseudo-random process to route information with geographical-inspired routing protocols for low-energy, low-throughput WSN.

Localized Minimum-Energy Broadcasting for Wireless Multihop Networks with Directional Antennas
TL;DR: This work proposes several localized algorithms to achieve energy-efficient broadcasting in wireless multihop networks using directional antennas and describes an efficient localized protocol which adaptively switches between one-to-one and one- to-many communication models and is efficient for both sparse and dense networks.

Towards unified tag data translation for the Internet of Things
Loic Schmidt,Nathalie Mitton,David Simplot-Ryl +2 more
- 17 May 2009
TL;DR: A general TDT system which extends the standards of EPCGlobal which only targets Electronic Product Code (EPC) and integrates other RFID and smart cards standards which are more general as they also deal with bar code (EAN/UPC).
