This bibliography is a continuatic~n of those published by Beny and Daniel (1984, 1985), Daniel (1981a, 1981b), Fulkerson and Wise (1987, 1990), Fulkerson, Wise, and Ancelet (1988), Johnson and Daniel (1974), Morgan and Daniel (1983), Mosely and Daniel 1(1982), and Wise and Fulkerson ( 1986, 1989, 1991). Search methods, criteria for inclusion, and other considerations were similar to those used previously. We have also continued the cumulative numbering practice of previous bibliographies. We have included a number of pre-1991 citations not listed in previous bibliographies because we continue to terminate our search in June.

The Active Eye Stack guidebook

The Personal Perspectives multimedia project described in this article engages teacher candidates in examining and representing their cultural identity by means of Apple’s iMovie software. This digital storytelling project was developed by the autho rs, who are instructors in elementary education and instructional technology at a state university whose college of education strongly emphasizes intercultural education. The paper begins with a project overview, then explains how the project is scaffolded in each course—providing downloadable pdf files of task sheets and student work. A discussion follows of the benefits and challenges of a cross-course multimedia project of this type, citing feedback received from students.

Personal Perspectives: Using Multimedia to Express Cultural Identity

Computer displays are becoming a preferred method of stimulus presentation in visual research. Yet because graduate research is for the most part performed with dedicated systems and soft-ware, many phenomena are inaccessible to undergraduates except as illustrations or descriptions in textbooks. We have found that a laboratory with three or four commercial programs can duplicate complex phenomena well enough to be useful in teaching and research, without any need for undergraduates to attain sophisticated programming skills.
