Shape of the shallow aquifer at the fresh water–sea water interface on a high-energy sandy beach
Damien Buquet,Colette Sirieix,Pierre Anschutz,Philippe Malaurent,Céline Charbonnier,Fabien Naessens,Stéphane Bujan,Pascal Lecroart +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) measurements from the lower beach face to the sand dune in winter 2012-2013 to characterize the shape and evolution of an intertidal saline circulation cell in a high-energy macro-tidal beach, the Truc Vert beach (SW France) in order to assess the distribution of saline, brackish and fresh water in this high energy beach aquifer.

Invasive Aquatic Plants as Ecosystem Engineers in an Oligo-Mesotrophic Shallow Lake.
Cristina Ribaudo,Juliette Tison-Rosebery,Damien Buquet,Gwilherm Jan,Aurélien Jamoneau,Gwenaël Abril,Gwenaël Abril,Pierre Anschutz,Vincent Bertrin +8 more
TL;DR: The study suggests that aquatic weeds may perform as ecosystem engineers, by negatively affecting local oxygenation and by stimulating nutrients regeneration, on the biogeochemistry of shallow lakes.
Terrestrial groundwater and nutrient discharge along the 240-km-long Aquitanian coast
Pierre Anschutz,Céline Charbonnier,Jonathan Deborde,Loris Deirmendjian,Dominique Poirier,Aurélia Mouret,Damien Buquet,Pascal Lecroart +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors collected samples from sea water, runnel water, beach pore waters, water from the unconfined surficial aquifer discharging at the beach face, groundwater, and rainwater from the Aquitanian coast in order to determine the flux of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN), phosphorus and silica from terrestrial submarine groundwater discharge (SGD).

Nutrient sequestration in Aquitaine lakes (SW France) limits nutrient flux to the coastal zone
Damien Buquet,Pierre Anschutz,Céline Charbonnier,Anne Rapin,Rémy Sinays,Axel Canredon,Stéphane Bujan,Dominique Poirier +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors quantify the impact of Aquitaine great lakes on the fluxes of dissolved macro-nutrients (N, P, Si) to the Bay of Biscay.

Lake sediment mercury biogeochemistry controlled by sulphate input from drainage basin
Axel Canredon,Pierre Anschutz,Damien Buquet,Céline Charbonnier,David Amouroux,Emmanuel Tessier,Dominique Poirier,Stéphane Bujan,Ludovic Devaux,Benoit Gouillieux,Sophie Gentès,Alexia Legeay,Agnès Feurtet-Mazel,Serge Galaup,Régine Maury-Brachet +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured methyl mercury (MeHg) concentrations in sediments of coastal lakes of Aquitaine and found that MeHg represented 2.53% of total Hg for Lake Carcans-Hourtin, less in other lakes.
