MicroRNAs: key regulators of the trophoblast function in pregnancy disorders
TL;DR: In this article , the role of miRNAs in regulating the function of trophoblast cells and several common signaling pathways related to miRNA regulation in pregnancy disorders is discussed. But, the authors do not consider the effect of miRNA on the development of the placenta.

TL;DR: This study suggested that a high level of circZDHHC20 inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion in trophoblast cells at least partially through sponging miR-144 and up-regulating GRHL2, providing a novel mechanism of PE pathogenesis.
