Lacrimal implant detection
Eugene de Juan,Boyd Stephen,Cary J. Reich,Christopher Cardenas,Jewell Tommy,Lorrie Ma,Nguyen Tuan +6 more
- 05 Sep 2008
TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus comprising a lacrimal implant insertable at least partially into the punctum of the lumen is described, and the implant body includes a cavity sized and shaped to receive the implant core.

Thermoreflectance Measurement of Temperature and Thermal Resistance of Thin Film Gold
TL;DR: In this paper, a quasi-steady state thermoreflectance measurement is used to determine the temperature distribution of a thin film gold interconnect (100 nm) undergoing Joule heating.

Comparison of Carbon-based Nanostructures with Commercial Products as Thermal Interface Materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed and tested an advanced apparatus based on the ASTM D5470-06 standard to measure thermal interface resistance, and quantitatively quantified the thermal performance trends of industry-standard TIM Arctic Silver® 5 along with hybrid TIM mixtures of Arctic Silver and varying weight ratios of CNTs.

Thermoreflectance small scale temperature measurement under ambient conditions
Drazen Fabris,Christopher Cardenas,Shawn Tokairin,Patrick Wilhite,Cary Y. Yang +4 more
- 01 Jan 2012
TL;DR: In this article, the sensitivity to temperature change is determined by the thermoreflectance coefficient which is considered linear and calibrated over the temperature range to be studied, and the current experiments conducted in an ambient environment show that the thermometer exhibits a hysteresis with the first calibration and the hystereis returns after several days.

Detection of lacrimal duct implant
- 07 Nov 2013
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method to provide a lacrimal duct implant capable of being at least partially inserted into a lumen point by inserting a detection device that is configured to enable automatic detection of the implant by another detector device.
