Circular RNA circPPM1F modulates M1 macrophage activation and pancreatic islet inflammation in type 1 diabetes mellitus.
Caiyan Zhang,Xiao Han,Lan Yang,Jinrong Fu,Chengjun Sun,Saihua Huang,Wenfeng Xiao,Yajing Gao,Qiuyan Liang,Xiang Wang,Feihong Luo,Wei Lu,Yufeng Zhou +12 more
TL;DR: Overexpression of circPPM1F could promote pancreatic islet injury by enhancing M1 macrophage activation and circP PM1F may serve as a novel potential therapeutic target for T1DM in children.

TL;DR: This is the first two-stage GWAS of T1D using 2,596 autoantibody-positive T1d case subjects and 5,082 control subjects in a Chinese Han population and observed that the higher genetic risk score (GRS) were associated with an earlier age of T 1D diagnosis and lower fasting C-peptide levels in individuals newly diagnosed with T2D.
Functional and metabolic alterations of gut microbiota in children with new-onset type 1 diabetes
X. Yuan,Ruirui Wang,Bing Han,Chengjun Sun,Rui Chen,H. Wei,Lin-Qi Chen,Hongwei Du,Guimei Li,Yu Yang,Xiaojuan Chen,Lanwei Cui,Zhen-Ran Xu,Junfen Fu,Jin-Yi Wu,Wei Gu,Zhihong Chen,Xin Fang,Hong-Xiu Yang,Zhe Su,Jing Wu,Qiuyue Li,Miaoying Zhang,Yufeng Zhou,Lei Zhang,Guang Ji,Feihong Luo +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper , Gut dysbiosis has been linked to type 1 diabetes (T1D), however, microbial capacity in T1D remains unclear, and integratively profiled gut microbial functional and metabolic alterations in children with new-onset T1d in independent cohorts and investigated the underlying mechanisms.
Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor along with HLA-C ligand genes are associated with type 1 diabetes in Chinese Han population.
TL;DR: It is hypothesize that KIR genes and their ligands HLA‐C genes are important in T1D aetiology.
