A multiscale hybrid approach for damage and final failure predictions of composite structures
TL;DR: In this article, a multiscale hybrid approach for predicting damage and failure of laminated composite structures based on the thermo-mechanical properties (stress/strain behaviour and strength) is presented.

Investigation of composite repair method by liquid resin infiltration
TL;DR: In this paper, a repair by liquid resin is used to fill in the very special damage pattern region organized as a crack network (delamination and transverse cracks), and an experimental set-up has been manufactured and different configurations have been studied.

- 01 Jan 2015
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of transverse matrix cracks and their associated local delaminations on the interlaminar damage (delamination) evolution in composite laminate materials has been investigated.

Displacement field measurements and capitalizing on experience: Application to the analysis of the rupture of holed composite plates
TL;DR: In this article, the authors have concentrated on the use of the technique of measuring displacement fields by digital image correlation during tensile tests on different holed composite laminates, which is of particular use in validating the FE computation results with the aim of "capitalizing on experience" and identifying certain parameters of the material's behavior directly from structure tests.
