A vertically adjustable hinge is disclosed. The hinge comprises a housing for attachment to a first structure. The housing has a housing cavity and an opening into the cavity. The cavity has an upper portion, a lower portion and a retaining portion forming a channel defining the upper portion and the lower portion. The hinge further includes a first leaf extending through the cavity opening and into the cavity upper portion, threaded nut rotationally fixed to the first leaf, and an adjustment mechanism disposed in the housing cavity. The adjustment mechanism comprises a jack screw extending between the upper cavity portion and the lower cavity portion. The jack screw has a threaded portion threadably engaging the nut in the upper cavity portion and a geared portion disposed in the cavity lower portion. The hinge further includes a worm gear engaging the jack screw geared portion, wherein rotation of the worm gear rotates the jack screw threaded portion in the nut, thereby moving the first leaf relative to the housing.

Vertically adjustable hinge

A hinge is provided which includes a frame-side base member 41 adapted to be attached to an open frame 10 and a door-side base member 42 adapted to be attached to a door 20. The frame-side base member 41 is connected to a first plate 31 and the door-side base member 42 is connected to a second plate 32 which is hinge connected to the first plate 31, for holding the door 20 so as to be capable of rotating. The second plate 32 is separable from the door-side base member 42. The door-side base member 42 is shaped to be symmetrical about the vertical center line of the door edge, and is imbedded in the edge of the door 20 without any protrusions from the door 20. Further, the door-side base member 42 is provided with a slit 44 which penetrates the member 42 in the width direction of the door 20 and into which the second plate 32 can be inserted from both the front and back sides of the door 20. There is also provided a lock apparatus to lock the second plate 32 inserted into the slit 44.

Adjustable door hinge

A horizontally adjustable hinge is disclosed. The hinge comprises a base member having a slot and a channel generally perpendicular to the slot, an adjustment nut disposed in the channel, the adjustment nut having a generally circumferential recess and a threaded axial bore, the adjustment nut being rotationally fixed within the channel, a screw threadably engaged in the threaded axial bore and axially fixed relative to the base member and a leaf for insertion into the slot. The leaf has a slot dimensioned to receive the circumferential recess, wherein rotation of the screw moves the adjustment nut axially in the channel, thereby moving the leaf in the slot.

Horizontally Adjustable Hinge

An adjustable hinge for pivotally mounting a door on a door frame for pivoting of the door about a pivot axis relative to the frame for use in both left-handed and right-handed installations, includes a first adjustment mechanism located near one end of the hinge pin for providing vertical height adjustment in a left-handed installation and a second adjustment mechanism located near the opposite end of the hinge pin for providing vertical height adjustment in a right-handed installation set.

The second hinge leaf (2) at the free end portion thereof is made having a notch (14). The receiving part (7) close to the bottom of the pocket has an adjusting screw (15) having step flanges (15', 15''), wherein the adjusting screw (15) upon insertion of the second hinge leaf into the pocket (8) enters the notch, and wherein the step flanges (15', 15''), having a diameter greater than the width of the notch (14), are adapted to be capable of forming abutment against opposing surface portions (2', 2'') of the second hinge leaf (2), wherein turning the adjusting screw (15) effects a lateral adjustment of the hinge. To provide a possibility of depthwise adjustment of the hinge, the position of the pin, boss or the like that is yielding upon spring action is adjustable (9, 10) in the depthwise direction of the pocket (8). To provide a possibility of vertical adjustment of the hinge, the receiving part along opposing lateral edges of the pocket is equipped with adjustable abutting screws or abutting discs (16).
