Infant temporal contrast sensitivity functions (tCSFs) mature earlier for luminance than for chromatic stimuli: evidence for precocious magnocellular development?
TL;DR: The results suggest that the relatively slow development of the chromatic tCSF in infants may reflect immature chromatic responses in the P pathway and/or reliance on Chromatic responses originating in the M pathway.

Distribution of neurons projecting to the superior colliculus correlates with thick cytochrome oxidase stripes in macaque visual area v2
TL;DR: From previous evidence that V2 thick stripes are closely associated with the magnocellular LGN pathway, it was predicted that a significant proportion of V2 neurons projecting to the superior colliculus would reside in the thick stripes.

The distribution of corticotectal projection neurons correlates with the interblob compartment in macaque striate cortex
Barry Lia,Jaime F. Olavarria +1 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the spatial distribution of cortico-subcortical projection neurons within infragranular cortex can correlate with the CO architecture of the primary visual cortex.

Infants code the direction of chromatic quadrature motion
TL;DR: The results suggest that frequency-doubled signals, such as those often seen in the magnocellular (M-cell) pathway, are not necessary for coding the direction of motion of isoluminant gratings in infant subjects.
