Enhanced spectrum sensing based on Energy detection in cognitive radio network using adaptive threshold
Md. Zulfikar Alom,Tapan Kumar Godder,Mohammad Morshed,Asmaa Maali +3 more
- 01 Jan 2017
TL;DR: Simulation outcomes show, the detection performance using offered system model is more preferable than fixed threshold at low SNR signal locations.

Random sampling for effective spectrum sensing in cognitive radio time slotted environment
TL;DR: In this paper, a multilayer perceptron neural network (MLP) classifier was used to detect whether a primary user is transmitting or not in the GSM channel.

Energy detection versus maximum eigenvalue based detection: A comparative study
Asmaa Maali,Hayat Semlali,Najib Boumaaz,Abdallah Soulmani +3 more
- 01 Mar 2017
TL;DR: This paper presents a comparative study between two Spectrum Sensing techniques: the Maximum Eigenvalue Detection (MED) and the Energy Detection (ED).

Maximum Eigenvalue Based Detection Using Jittered Random Sampling
Asmaa Maali,Sara Laafar,Hayat Semlali,Najib Boumaaz,Abdallah Soulmani +4 more
- 18 Aug 2018
TL;DR: Results give a probability of detection PD = 1 which shows that it is possible to perform a spectrum sensing method by applying random sampling.

Effect of random sampling on spectrum sensing for cognitive radio networks
TL;DR: This paper proposes a spectrum sensing approach based on the Energy Detection and on the Maximum Eigenvalue Detection combined with random sampling and results are compared to the uniform sampling case to show the added value of random sampling.
