CONSTITUTION: The location of 1st type and 2nd type information blocks is limited to one correspondent document type among respective plural document types, plural document templates 48 are stored, and a table 50 for relating the 1st and 2nd type information blocks with 1st and 2nd type processing parameters is stored. Corresponding to the value of a recognized feature index, one of plural document templates 48 is accessed, the 1st type processing parameter from the table 50 corresponding to the 1st type information block from the image of the document in an image buffer 52 is selectively accessed and while using this parameter, information from the 1st type information block is processed.

Adaptive-picture processing method

PURPOSE:To automatically set the item value of each item at the time of image data registration by designating a preliminarily defined document classification. CONSTITUTION:The document classification selecting means 21 of a system control program 20 reads out document classifications from a document classification storage file 25 and displays them on a display device 4 so that document classifications can be selected from a mouse 8, a keyboard 6, etc. When a new document classification is selected, a document classification item setting means 22 can set the item value to each item. A document classification item registering means 23 registers the set item value of each item in the document classification storage file 25 correspondingly to the document classification. When an already registered document classification is selected by the document classification selecting means 21, a document classification item reading means 24 reads out the item value of each item in the selected document classification from the document classification storage file 25 and takes it as the item value of each item in image registration.

When the IC card is inserted to a reader/writer 2, the reader/writer 2 instructs the user to input the transaction work classification. Thereby, the image data of the account number is displayed at an exclusive image data display area 62 and the operator inputs the transaction data from the keyboard 51 watching the image data and with depressing an item input key following after the account number, the data of the account number is moved and displayed at the upper part, and the next inputting item, the amount, is displayed at the display area 62, and the operator inputs the amount watching the data, depressing the item input key. Thus, if a completion key is depressed after the inputting of required input items, the slip logical data received at a data collating part 47 is collated with the inputted data.
