TL;DR: At least 47 of the 68 Phytophthora species/taxa detected in nurseries and plantings were exotic species several of which are considered well established in both nurseries or plantings in Europe.
352
Genetic variation and host specificity of Phytophthora cactorum isolated in Europe
TL;DR: The lack of variation among isolates originating from strawberry suggests that crown rot of strawberry is caused by a single clone within the geographical area studied, and P. cactorum isolates form a unique group different from other Phytophthora spp.
81
Pathogenicity, morphology and genetic variation of Phytophthora cactorum from strawberry, apple, rhododendron, and silver birch
TL;DR: The analysis of random amplified microsatellite (RAMS) markers of Phytophthora cactorum from strawberry showed that leather rot of strawberry fruits and crown rot are not caused by genetically different strains of this species.
68
Fungal diseases in forest nurseries in Finland.
TL;DR: Growers are encouraged to use cultural and integrated pest management techniques such as better nursery hygiene, including removing plant debris in nursery growing areas and hot water washing of containers plus removal of diseased, spore-producing seedlings and trees around the nursery.
67
Conifer seedling root fungi and root dieback in Finnish nurseries
TL;DR: The isolation frequency of a uninucleate Rhizoctonia‐like fungus, Pythium spp.
