Dose-Dependent Effects of Docosahexaenoic Acid Supplementation on Blood Lipids in Statin-Treated Hyperlipidaemic Subjects
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that DHA-rich fish oil supplementation (2.16 g DHA/day) can improve plasma lipids in a dose-dependent manner in patients taking statins and these changes were achieved by 3 months.

Electrical Stimulation Improves Insulin Responses in a Human Skeletal Muscle Cell Model of Hyperglycemia
TL;DR: A model of hyperglycemia has been established, and electrical stimulation improved insulin responses, and the insulin‐stimulated glucose uptake in hyper glycemia‐treated cells was improved by electrical stimulation of the cells.

LXRβ is the dominant LXR subtype in skeletal muscle regulating lipogenesis and cholesterol efflux
Nina Pettersen Hessvik,Mark V. Boekschoten,M. A. Baltzersen,Sander Kersten,Xiufeng Xu,Harriet Andersén,Arild Chr. Rustan,G. H. Thoresen +7 more
TL;DR: LXRbeta seems to be the main LXR subtype regulating lipogenesis and cholesterol efflux in skeletal muscle, and basal glucose uptake was increased in LXRbeta KO myot tubes compared with WT myotubes, suggesting a role for LXR beta in glucose metabolism in skeletal Muscle.
