An experimental study of the behavior of 3D printed concrete at elevated temperatures
TL;DR: In this article, the authors conduct a preliminary investigation on the behavior of 3DPC at elevated temperatures by conducting an experimental study, and they find that the 3DMC samples delaminated between layers (thermo-mechanical) as a result of reduced flexural strength.

Experimental study of fire spread between multiple full scale informal settlement dwellings
TL;DR: In this article, two full-scale informal settlement dwelling burn experiments were conducted; (a) three ISDs clad with steel sheeting and (b) three isd clad with timber, and the heat fluxes and temperatures of both experiments were compared to understand the effect of cladding materials (i.e. timber cladding versus steel cladding, which are mostly used in informal settlements) on fire spread.

Full-Scale Informal Settlement Dwelling Fire Experiments and Development of Numerical Models
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the plausibility of using FDS v6.7 and zonal models to predict certain fire parameters (i.e. ceiling temperatures, heat fluxes, etc.) for informal settlement dwellings (ISDs) and to study the likelihood of fire spread.
20 Dwelling Large-Scale Experiment of Fire Spread in Informal Settlements
N. De Koker,Richard Walls,Antonio Cicione,Zara Sander,Stefan A. Löffel,J. J. Claasen,S. J. Fourie,L. Croukamp,David Rush +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present results and analysis of a full-scale fire spread experiment of a mock 20 dwelling test settlement with a 4 by 5 layout aimed at understanding settlement-scale wildfire spread behavior.
The Effect of Separation Distance Between Informal Dwellings on Fire Spread Rates Based on Experimental Data and Analytical Equations
Antonio Cicione,Richard Walls,Zara Sander,Natalia Flores,Vignesh Narayanan,Samuel Stevens,David Rush +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of separation distance, dwelling height and dwelling length on the times-to-ignition of informal settlement fire spread is investigated, where it is shown that the heat flux received by an adjacent dwelling decreases approximately exponentially as the distance between dwellings increases.
